Welcome back everyone! Hope you are having a good week and making the most of the time you've been given. Often it's easy to let the year and the work drift by, and I'm guilty of it too. A profound reminder of this hit me this week on an episode of The Minimalist:

If you are looking to expand your development skillset whether dealing with geospatial data or not, you'll definitely want to explore the use of api's. I recently started developing more applications using a few different api's and I put together some thoughts on getting started with api's.

🔰 getting started with api’s
The first step is to get familiar with json. You no doubt will be working with json a lot. Understanding json structure and the structure of your data will make building your application with an api much smoother.

Cyan Worlds Inc, the studio behind Myst just came out with a new title, Firmament. I am a big fan of the original Myst games and even the books so a new title by the same studio looks interesting to me, but my love for the original series was definitely from the lore. Whether or not this title lives up to the lore of the previous lore is still to be written...i guess they may need a few more pages.

Notion ai to create task lists has been one of my favorite little known features I've made a lot of use of lately. I just copy and paste whatever task list I have and let notion ai create the checklist for me. A great boost for productivity to quickly consolidate emails into tasks as well.

The Archer by Adam Melchor recently made it's way back on my radar. Loving deep lyrics and expansive guitars, and velvet soundscapes this radio has been perfect for stargazing and hours pondering  around the campfire this summer.
