Work has been a monster this week. Between phone calls, project organization and documentation I really can't believe it's the week has passed. That being said, I can't help but being so thankful for the opportunity to have rewarding work. Growing up, I've come to the realization that this isn't the case for everyone. Waking up with excitement for the day and the work ahead is incredible.

If you haven't found this in your life. I encourage you to seek it out. Skimp, save, bet, borrow, do whatever you have to do to find work that matters. It's been years but the book 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller absolutely changed my life.

I cannot get over how useful the Notion web clipper is. It's the Notion tool I use Every. Single. Day. From building out my blog reading list, keeping up with inspiration on Pinterest, or even using the iOS tool to save instagram posts, I can't stress how many times the web clipper has returned dividends in inspiration and resources I would have completely forgotten about without it.

I don't care where I end up or how I got there, but I'll always circle back to Jimmy Eat World. In some ways, they embody some popular sounds of today with much more substance or at least familiarity. A definite nostalgia trip.

Too much soda is a bad thing right? In this case, never. SODA stands for Socrata Open Data API, which I have been using lately, combined with Json and GeoJson to create custom web applications with data fed directly from open data sources.

The Socrata Open Data API allows you to programmatically access a wealth of open data resources from governments, non-profits, and NGOs around the world.

If you are looking for a simple and easy way to create meaningful applications with "open data" (Austin in my case) you'll definitely want to check out their documentation.

Last weekend I tuned in to SNL to watch John Mulaney. I suppose I'd not watched in a long time, and it was for lack of a better word, painful. So, to finally answer the question, this guy watched all the seasons of SNL to give us the definitive answer to the Sunday morning question: Was SNL ever funny?
